Wojciech Starzechowski of Białoboki, Sub-chamberlain of the Land of Lwów. We announce by the wording of this [document] to all in general and to each one individually, to whom it is appropriate, to those present and future who shall have knowledge of this, in what manner the hereditary estates of the venerable lords canons and the entire Chapter of the Metropolitan [Church] of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lwów, with regard to the village of Żydatycze on one side, and of the noble Michał Chomątowski with regard to the village of Dublany, as well as of the well-born Zofia, widow of the late well-born Stanisław Hynk, of her hereditary estates, that is the village of Sroki, on the other side, as a result of a friendly agreement and settlement concluded by our bailiff delegated by our office for land affairs, the well-born Piotr Cieśliński, the said bordering and adjacent estates were mutually demarcated, marked, and distinguished from one another, and separated and marked by certain boundary signs and mounds. In this way, he walked the land in turn and marked the boundaries forever, after prior, emphatic proclamation by the valiant Błażej of Baszówka, land bailiff, whether anyone has any objections and whether they intend to challenge or contest these very boundaries from all concluded agreement and settlement at the appropriate time and place – and no one objected or challenged. Finally, our office ordered our said bailiff to establish the boundaries, raise and mark the mounds, which was done, and after the completion of these activities: In that place, the first corner mound (anath) in a place called Jerzyszcze (Gyarzyszcze) was raised from earth, and this is the final mound in the place of disputes between the said estates of the lords canons and the Lwów Chapter with regard to the village of Żydatycze and the estates of the said Michał Chomątowski with regard to the village of Dublany and the estates of the said noble Zofia Hynkowa with regard to the village of Sroki, where no other double mounds had been raised and erected until now. Omitting, however, that the corner mounds raised on both sides made the division of such a village of Żydatycze on one side and the said village of Dublany on the other, then proceeding further along the road towards the place called Kosmata Łoza (Mosnata Loza), the third mound was raised and erected from earth; proceeding further along the road towards the said Kosmata Łoza, the fourth mound was raised and erected from earth. Then proceeding further along the said road above the place called Kosmata Łoza, the fifth mound was raised and erected from earth; then proceeding by the road Kosmata Łoza, the sixth mound was raised and erected from earth. Then proceeding further by a tree called Hleem [...], on which tree a boundary sign was cut on both sides with blacking (cerno), the seventh mound was raised and erected; and further straight, walking along the same road [...], a boundary sign was made and cut on one tree called Flur using that blacking, and walking further towards the Kiślików Oak (Kyszlykow damb), the eighth mound was raised and erected. On that oak, a boundary sign was made and cut in the manner of blacking, and walking further straight towards the Kiślików Oak, the ninth mound was raised and erected. Finally, walking still towards that Kiślików Oak, the tenth mound was raised and erected from earth. Then proceeding further in the place which is called Kiślików Oak, the eleventh mound was raised and erected from earth. Finally, walking ultimately, the boundaries between the said estates are determined by the river called Rzeszły Damblanskyze or otherwise Lipki (Lypky), where the twelfth and last corner (anaths) mound was raised and erected from earth. At which raising and erecting of that last and corner mound, the land bailiff, the prudent Błażej of Baszówka, by the order of our sub-chamberlain office, for the first, second, third, and finally with excess for the fourth time, called out publicly and in a loud voice, whether anyone would object to the established wording of the boundaries and the mounds and signs made, erected, and marked between the said estates, let them come forward and object in time. Against which boundaries made by our sub-chamberlain office between the said hereditary estates of the above-mentioned parties, mounds erected, and boundary signs marked, no one objected or challenged them. And therefore the said well-born Piotr Cieśliński, bailiff of our office, made and marked the said boundaries, mounds, and boundary signs between the said parties of their estates, whereby our parties did not oppose or refuse, but rather expressed their consent; he decided that the perpetual settlement is to have perpetual force and durability and be inviolably kept and observed by the said parties and their legal successors under a penalty of one hundred marks of common currency, to which penalty the said parties voluntarily submitted themselves to pay and bear. These boundaries between the said estates, as described above, the parties themselves should and are obliged to acknowledge in one term of the Lwów land or castle courts and enter into the Lwów land records. If, however, any of the parties would like to violate and invalidate the violated boundaries, the erection of mounds, and the marking of boundary signs in part or in whole, and thus would not care for their preservation, then the aggrieved party [...] shall place the party holding these boundaries before any court, whether land or castle of Lwów, in the first term as peremptory, and shall answer, and for the said penalty of one hundred marks of currency shall satisfy in that same first term the party preserving these boundaries, under no pretext seeking delay, neither judicially nor extrajudicially evading. Renouncing mutually all legal remedies and benefits, and also by no statutes of limitations, adjournments, methods, and ruses evading the first term [...]. To all this and individually, the said parties submitted themselves voluntarily and willingly, so that they themselves and their successors would hold, fulfill, and inviolably observe under the said penalty of one hundred marks of currency, which [penalty] is to be paid as many times as it will be necessary for any of the parties, until eternal times the said boundaries they and their successors should hold and will be obliged. In clear memory of which our seal has been attached hereto. Done and given at the field site of disputes or boundaries between the said village estates, namely Żydatycze, Dublany, and Sroki, on the Tuesday before the feast of the Holy Apostles Philip and James next, in the Year of Our Lord one thousand five hundred and thirty-nine. Present at this were the well-born and noble: Adam Borecki, Stanisław Narzymowski, Mikołaj Andrzejowski, steward of the well-born Zofia Hynkowa, Jan Kalinowski, Krzysztof Zamoyski, Marcin Baran Ładzyński, village head in Rusin, Piotr Joszko[...] and Paweł Moszczyński, and many other credible witnesses to the above.
