Reading notes
Document preserved in very poor condition. The parchment is heavily faded, covered with extensive mold stains (purple-brown streaks), and folded multiple times into a regular grid (abrasions and cracks at the folds). The text is largely erased and illegible under normal light. The catalog card identifies the document as a confirmation by King Sigismund II Augustus of a 'wilkierz' (city ordinance/resolution) of the Lwów council regarding the limitation of the number of potters and the prohibition of practicing the craft by 'partacze' (unauthorized craftsmen not belonging to the guild), dated July 9, 1558.
