IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN. Mikołaj Herburt of Fulsztyn, Castellan of Przemyśl, Starosta of Lviv, General of the Ruthenian lands, Jan Drohojowski, judge, Wiktoryn Kowalski, sub-judge, Jan Zapolski, boundary bailiff of the Lviv land, commissioners appointed and designated by the Most Serene Royal Majesty SIGISMUND the Third, by the grace of God King of Poland and designated [King] of Sweden, our gracious lord, for the matters written below. We hereby announce by this our [letter] to those whom it concerns, to all present and future who shall receive knowledge of this.
That by the order and mandate letters of the same Most Serene Royal Majesty on our part, and at the earnest request of the Venerable Chapter of the Metropolitan Church of Lviv, the heirs and possessors of the villages of Basiówka and Hodowica, for the purpose of renewing and settling disputes over twenty hides from the wall of the village of Obroszyn, belonging to the table of the said Lviv Chapter, and the hereditary estates and land of Sknilów and Sokolniki of the Most Serene Royal Majesty, belonging to the Lviv castle, along and across, according to the letters of privilege once of blessed memory Władysław, King of Poland, given to the same Venerable Lviv Chapter for forty hides, and after the drafting of that privilege by double commissioners of pious memory once CASIMIR, King of Poland, the borders were established by heaping up mounds and measurement by the designated measure in that matter of the measurement of forty hides, [and which] in part due to the antiquity of time have fallen into oblivion; having summoned before our presence by the power of the mandates of the Most Serene Royal Majesty the parties and inhabitants of the mentioned hereditary estates and those whom it concerned, primarily after establishing jurisdiction and as the law requires, after the proclamation by the bailiff Eliasz of Lviv, starting from those ancient borders according to the wording of the said original privilege, and also after careful examination of newer acts and processes in that matter of forty hides issued after the date of the original privilege, and after walking and examining all this on the ground itself. From the state of affairs subjected to visual inspection and carefully investigated in this matter entrusted to us, proceeding to the execution of the letters of the Most Serene Royal Majesty, we have reconciled, renewed, and ordered such disputes and usage in the following manner, and restored them to the ancient, original usage and possession according to the old signs, still quite clear.
First, starting the length from the swamp or mire called Zgniły Potok and from an ancient, quite clear mound, at which opposite in the above-mentioned boundary commission act of the Obroszyn estates with Basiówka in the western part a mound was heaped up. In the eastern part, by the road called Szarpska, a mound sign made of earth is heaped up, marking the eternal junction of the Sknilów estates with Basiówka along the wall of the village of Obroszyn. From there, along the same Szarpska road, the mounds were renewed and heaped up straight, not departing from this road, crossing roads, small woods, and thickets, and on both sides of the same Szarpska road on oak trees, signs in the shape of a cross were cut, and we entered the public road (highway) stretching from Lviv to Basiówka; at the place of entry onto the highway, signs were cut on trees and mounds were heaped up. We designated this same Szarpska road up to the place of entry onto the above-mentioned highway to the heirs of Sknilów and Basiówka as an eternal border along its length.
Having crossed the highway, walking along the same Szarpska road, mounds were heaped up, and from this path of the Szarpska road to the right side, sloping diagonally towards the south, through thickets, signs in the shape of a cross were cut on oak and deciduous trees, and mounds of earth were renewed and heaped up. We arrived at the old public highway, which runs from Lviv through the village of Hodowica towards the town of Szczerzec; at the place of arrival, marked on both sides by signs of cut crosses on oak trees, one mound was also heaped up. From these signs, walking along the same old road, mounds were heaped up along this road, [until] we arrived at the place of the plain; descending from the hill lower towards Hodowica, one old mound was renewed and heaped up, from which mound, leaving the said highway on the left hand, mounds were heaped up along a path turning through thickets, mud, and oak forest up to the last old mound between the estates of the village of Hodowica and Basiówka at the measurement of hides on that western side, located behind the stream at the end of the Hodowica pond. At which place the mentioned renewal of borders was completed.
However, this condition was added and explicitly specified, that pastures in the estates of both mentioned parties, both present and their subjects, are to be free for eternal times, without, however, causing damage to the meadows and crops located in the said estates. Through which the entire sequence and course along and across the twenty hides in the eastern part between the above-mentioned estates and the estates of the Most Serene Royal Majesty, renewed in usage and ancient possession, restoring and renewing to the mentioned estates and inheritances, holding to the letters of the commission and mandates of the Most Serene Royal Majesty, we have adjudged and assigned to ancient usage and possession forever by the authority of our commission and by means of this our decree.
Wherein were present the venerable and noble lords: Jan Dymitr Solikowski, by the grace of God Archbishop of Lviv, Zygmunt Łowadowski, Vice-Starosta of Lviv, from the village of Sokolniki Jan Mańkowski, wójt, Marcin Komorowski, castle scribe, Jan Ryński, Stanisław Krusiński, Jan Tilebowski, and many other credible witnesses. In testimony and confirmation of all this, so done and executed, we have ordered our seals to be affixed to these acts. Done and given in the field of the disputed estates mentioned above, on the nearest Friday before the feast of the Eleven Thousand Virgins, in the Year of Our Lord one thousand five hundred and ninety-first.

et ab eodem tramite via Sarpska ad dextra[m] partem per obliquum deorsus meridiem declinante per rubeta signa ad instar crucis in arboribus quercinis et feliatis sunt incisa, et de terra scopuli sunt renovati et erecti, ventum est ad viam strata[m] publicam antiquam quae tendit de Leopoli per villam Hodowicza ad oppidum Szczerzecz locoq[ue] aduentus ex utraq[ue] parte signor[um] cruces in arboribus quercinis excusis assignato, etiam scopulus unus est septus.
