We make known by this our letter to all and each one to whom it may concern, that we, having regard and consideration for the faithful and steadfast services of the honest Hryćko Popowicz, from the village of Zniesienie, our village head and 'wybraniec', belonging to the Lwów starosta district, which he rendered in various military expeditions, namely being on duty at Zbaraż and at Iwanogród, wishing to have him [...] according to the former decree, inclining to the ordinance of the late King Stephen, our paternal and other constitutions concerning the crown 'wybrańcy', we grant him freedom [...] from the 'wybraniec' [hide of land], garden [...] in the forest wilderness [...] wood and brushwood for fuel and repair [...] brewing [beer], distilling spirits, [...] having for the future, we permit. Furthermore, we make him free from all labors and burdens, royal and others appointed, also from paying rents from [...] half-hides, hide levies, stationing, and from enemy horse labor, from collecting idols and all taxes, belonging to us or to the local lessee now and in the future, which the subjects of this village are accustomed to pay, namely [...] from the 'wybraniec' hide he did not have, then we want to have it, [...] it was appointed, so that it would be measured and given to him without any [...] [?]. What, however [...] excluded into our borders [...] from the local lessees [...] he did not have and from any burdens [...] he was kept whole and inviolate by the granted liberties, [...] measured [...] with constitutions [...] felling [...] belonging to the arable [...]. Given in Lwów on the 28th [...] day of April [...] in the Year of Our Lord 1656, the 8th [?] year of our Polish and Swedish reigns.
