JOHN II CASIMIR, BY THE GRACE OF GOD, KING OF POLAND, GRAND DUKE OF LITHUANIA, RUTHENIA, PRUSSIA, MASOVIA, SAMOGITIA, LIVONIA, SMOLENSK, CHERNIGOV, AND HEREDITARY KING OF THE SWEDES, GOTHS, AND VANDALS.
We make known by this our letter to all whom it may concern: that just as after the death of the once honest Jacek Kramicz, a Hubice selectman, the wybraniecki hide, which fell to our disposal, we granted in lease for life to the honest Piotr Pilewicz, Jan the elder, Semion, and the second Jan, his sons, so now, after the passing from this world of the aforementioned Semion and Jan the younger, his sons, having put in their place the honest Stefan and Andrzej, his sons, we maintain the honest Piotr Pilewicz the father, Jan the elder the son, and the aforementioned Stefan and Andrzej the sons at the same wybraniecki hide, lying in our village named Hubice, belonging to the Drohobycz starosta district. That is, so that the aforementioned Piotr Pilewicz and his above-mentioned sons, succeeding one after another, may hold, use, and enjoy in peaceful possession until their death the said wybraniecki hide in its entirety – as it lies within its ancient boundaries and as it sits between the quarters, on one side the Waniutyńska wasteland, and on the other side between the Pisiuńska, also a wasteland – with all fields, lands, grounds, hayfields, pastures, buildings, and in general all appurtenances and freedoms [...] long serving this wybraniectwo. Furthermore, that they remain free from our crown and foreign border soldiers. Promising by our royal word for us and our most serene successors [...], that neither we nor our successors shall remove them from the possession of this wybraniecki hide, nor allow it to be given to anyone else, but shall keep the life tenure for each of them. Which our most serene successors shall also do. Regarding this life tenure, each of them, being in possession of this hide, shall be obliged to provide from this wybraniectwo a selectman with proper parliamentary equipment for every military expedition. Having kept our royal rights, those of the Republic and the Catholic Church, inviolate. For which, for better faith, having signed with our hand, we ordered the crown seal to be affixed. Given in Sambor, on the 28th day of August in the Year of Our Lord 1660, in the 13th year of our Polish and Swedish reign.

Reading notes
Parchment document in very good condition. Traces of folds. The seal has not survived (no cuts or cords, it was likely intended to be applied under a seal wafer / signet under paper or suspended, two small holes visible in the lower part of the parchment). On the verso, an old seal/sticker of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Lviv (no. 1060). The archival card (photo 1) correctly summarizes the content and dating.
