Privilege of King Michael Korybut Wiśniowiecki for the village head (sołtys) and the 'wybrańcy' (chosen soldiers) from the village of Hubicze

Michael, by the grace of God, King of Poland, Grand Duke of Lithuania, Ruthenia, Prussia, Masovia, Samogitia, Kiev, Volhynia, Podolia, Podlasie, Severia, Chernihiv, etc. We hereby announce to all and each one individually. Having received [a request] from the petition of certain lords of our council on behalf of the honest: Piotr Pilewicz, our village head and 'wybraniec' from the village of Hubicze, with Stefan, Iwan, and Andrzej, sons of Iwan, also Iwan Paszenit and Piotr, his son, and [Iwan?] Pannikowicz and Fedor, his son, Iwan Szurma and Mateusz, his son, our 'wybrańcy' [...] submitted to us, that we should preserve them in the 'wybraniecki' hide in the village of Hubicze, as well as the piece of field called Malenic, and the second one called Błonia, lying between the lands and borders of Tustanowice and Borysław. Adhering to these petitions as just, we have graciously decided to preserve the above-mentioned village head and our 'wybrańcy' in the [holding?] of the land and [...], and we do preserve them by this our letter. As a result of this our preservation, the aforementioned [...] Piotr Pilewicz, Stefan, [Iwan], Andrzej, sons of Iwan, also Iwan Paszenit and [Piotr], his son, and Iwan Pannikowicz and Fedor, his son, Iwan Szurma and Mateusz, his son, our 'wybrańcy', shall have, hold, and enjoy this hide of land and two pieces of field with all fields, arable lands, gardens, meadows, pastures, hayfields, buildings, and other long-standing duties and dues, with the free construction of a mill, vineyard, and brewery, distilling spirits, and brewing beer for domestic use only, and each of them shall hold and enjoy their own for their own interest [pro interesse] until the very end of their life. Making them free from all hearth tax and burdens. We promise this on behalf of us and our most illustrious succes[sors], that we shall not remove the above-mentioned village heads and their successors from this hide and pieces of land, nor shall we give power [...] to anyone, but we shall preserve them in their entirety in their lifetime office, which our most illustrious successors should also do.
