Bull of Pope Leo XIII ordering the Lviv Chapter to obey Archbishop Seweryn Morawski

Leo, Bishop, Servant of the Servants of God, to Our beloved sons, the Chapter of the Metropolitan Church of Lviv of the Latin rite, greetings and apostolic blessing. Today, We have transferred Our Venerable Brother Seweryn Morawski, recently titular Bishop of Trapezopolis, elected Archbishop of Lviv, releasing him from the bond by which he was bound to the titular Church of Trapezopolis, by the counsel of Our Venerable Brothers, the Cardinals of the Holy Roman Church, and by the fullness of Our apostolic power, and by the same counsel and apostolic authority, We have transferred him to the Metropolitan Church of Lviv of the Latin rite, deprived at that time in a certain expressed manner of the comfort of a shepherd, and We have established him as Archbishop and shepherd of the same, entrusting to him fully the care, rule, and administration of the said Metropolitan Church of Lviv in spiritual and temporal matters, as is contained more tightly and fully in Our letters drawn up regarding this. Therefore, We command your prudence through apostolic letters that you be humbly submissive to the said Bishop Seweryn, as father and shepherd of your souls, and showing him due and devoted obedience and respect, you humbly accept his salutary admonitions and commands and strive to fulfill them effectively; otherwise, the sentence which that Bishop Seweryn shall lawfully pass upon the disobedient, We shall deem valid and shall cause, by the grace of the Lord, to be inviolably observed until worthy satisfaction is made.
