Reading notes
The unit does not contain a legal document (diploma), but 5 loose parchment leaves (disiecta membra) originating from one monastic antiphonary, most likely Dominican (as evidenced by the selection of commemorations of saints of the Order of Preachers: St. Peter Martyr of Verona, St. Antoninus of Florence, St. Catherine of Siena, as well as Sts. Philip and James the Apostles and the Finding of the Holy Cross). Preserved original pagination/foliation in red ink: 27, 28, 30, 32, 33. Gothic script (textualis formata), red four-line staff with choral neumes (Gothic-Romanesque choral notation / cantus fractus). Numerous colorful initials (red, blue, polychrome) and psalm abbreviations 'Evovae' (seculorum Amen). The catalog card dates the fragment generally to the 17th century, however, the type of script and illumination may also point to the 16th century.
