Translation / modern text

Honorable and Illustrious Gentlemen, our highly esteemed Friends! We have received your letter dated March 23 of the current year. In response, we inform you that the exchange rate of coins depends on the conversion established by the Most Illustrious Grand Treasurer of the Crown. We believe it is known to you, as it has been announced in all castles and cities and is currently in force. Distinguishing and interpreting the differences between such numerous types of coins does not, therefore, fall within the competence of the municipal office. One must refer to the conversion table. Conveying this information, we remain with full respect, ready to serve our honorable and illustrious Friends. Warsaw, April 13, 1763. Mayor and Councilors of the Royal City of Old Warsaw. To the honorable and illustrious Magistrate of Lviv.
