[P. 2]
Most Illustrious and Noble Lord Castellan of Kraków,
My Great Lord and Benefactor!
I regret immeasurably that upon leaving Warsaw I could not find Your Grace, my Lord, in his chambers, although I had intended to [...] pay the due respects to Your Grace, my Lord, upon departure, and at the same time commend myself to the unchanging favor and protection of Your Grace, my Lord, both of which are of great importance to my happiness. Now, therefore, although from the road, yet feeling bound by my duty, I have reached out through a messenger with my respects to Your Grace, my Lord, humbly requesting that you deign to keep not only me, your servant, but also my banner under your protection, and in circumstances that may arise, deign to be its patron and protector. And if I could even from a distance be of use for any service to Your Grace, my Lord, I humbly ask to be honored with your command, the execution of which I shall consider proof of the unchanging favor of Your Grace, my Lord. Commending myself to which most diligently, I remain with customary respect and attention
Your Grace, my Lord

Reading notes
The Polish inventory description incorrectly read the title ('Starosta of Mir' instead of Spiš) and the surname as illegible, and distorted the content of the letter (it is not an agreement to a request, but Lubomirski's request for care and protection for himself and his banner). The inventory card correctly identifies the author: 'спіського старости Любомирського Теодора'. The recipient, as Castellan of Kraków in February 1702, was most likely Feliks Kazimierz Potocki. On page 3, there is a handwritten sketch of a building made with a quill.
