Translation / modern text
The sender says that he received the recipient’s letter only recently. He mentions lace goods, payments, and an accounting, including a bill or note with an amount read as 1,242 écus. He asks for the recipient’s favor, but the remaining details cannot be reconstructed with confidence. He signs as Dupont. The address on the outer sheet directs the letter to the Palatine and general of the Lublin voivodeship. No legible date appears in the letter text.

Reading notes
PDF pp. 2–4 contain the continuous letter text; p. 5 is an external address notation and is not part of the transcription. The signature “Dupont” is legible on p. 4. No date or place was read from the letter itself, so date and place remain null. The inventory card on p. 1 records the unit as beginning on 24 January 1700 and containing three sheets; this is catalog information, not a date written in the letter.
