Translation / modern text
[P. 2]
Most Illustrious, Most Gracious Lord and Brother!
Being unable, due to great domestic difficulties, especially due to the weakness of my wife's health, to be present now in the Ruthenian lands, I recommend and entrust to Your Grace's protection, my [Gracious?] Lord, the officers of my regiment, humbly requesting that you might deign to use your persuasion at the current commission so that the half of my regiment, which until now has been receiving its pay in the Sochaczew land with the greatest hardship, could be joined with the other half and together in the voivodeships
[Note at the bottom in a different hand:]
f. 12a
To His Grace the Voivode of Volhynia.
[P. 4]
2
To Her Grace the Voivodess, our [Lady], most Gracious Lord, it is a lie that in this postscript [there is] a witness, and even to Your Grace, my Lord, the heart did not suffice; it was said once, when there were small exercises: is it time to go to Lviv? I, however, do not know why I am judged so: yours, for God's sake, lead out and do not stand there, for you will ruin yourself through double pay in the Sochaczew land, as long as they do not have the regiment together.
[P. 5, address:]
+ To the Most Illustrious His Grace the Voivode of Volhynia, my most Gracious Lord and Benefactor, it is due.
In Lviv.

Reading notes
Page 1 (p. 2 PDF) written by a secretary's hand (breaks off mid-sentence at the bottom: 'in the Voivodeship- / ch'), while page 2 (p. 4 PDF, marked at the top with the digit '2') constitutes a handwritten addition/continuation by the author himself (holograph of Marcin Kątski), written in a hurried ductus, without a closing formula or signature. The addressee appears as the Voivode of Volhynia, which indicates the period 1693–1697 (before Jan Jabłonowski took over the Ruthenian Voivodeship).
