Most Noble Mr. Hayder,
my Most Gracious Lord and dear, beloved Friend!
Expecting that Your Grace, my Gracious Lord, would soon arrive in Warsaw yourself one of these days, for this reason I did not send immediately either what the Jesuit fathers had prepared, or what was from me. And also for this reason I did nothing, as a certain opportunity was not easy to find, for it almost gave me to understand that a mistake is unnecessary; however, I did not fail to send it not by just any means, but by a certain opportunity, under penalty of loss. I learned of the ailment of Your Grace, my Gracious Lord – as it happens in this Lenten time, when there is a change in health related to the change of food. Some such ailments should not be harmful, and I earnestly pray to the Lord God that the evil does not bring detriment. The Chancellor [...] The Lord God drives out widows, to whom it is fitting to be in Warsaw until those Mediotele, courts, which will not be high [...] sent the deputy, who also is not to be until, God willing, the holidays. I am sending the letter from the Jesuit fathers to Your Grace, my Gracious Lord, with which – I hope – they have secured [...] to the office, and meanwhile, I earnestly commend myself and my household to the grace and kindness of Your Grace, my Lord.
From Warsaw, March 17, 1647.
Your Grace's, my Gracious Lord's, well-wishing servant,
Simon Białecki
[P. 34, Address:]
