Translation / modern text
My Lords of Lviv!
As I have always gladly served you, so now too I wish to declare that I am most devoted to your city and to the whole community. As for the alcohol tax, I was ready to lease it to you earlier as well, but you yourselves were to blame. It is difficult now to predict what taxes the Commonwealth will have, yet I myself also believe there will be no avoiding the alcohol tax. If it is enacted, please send your representatives to me near the conclusion of the Sejm, and I promise to contract with you ahead of everyone else, subject to the proper conditions. In the meantime, I commend myself to your favour.
Uchanie, 13 March 1632.
Your well-wishing friend and willing servant, Jan Mikołaj Daniłowicz, Crown Treasurer [signature expanded according to the copy].
[Address:] To be delivered to my gracious Lords, the mayors, aldermen, and townsmen of the city of His Royal Majesty of Lviv.

Reading notes
All 16 pages of the unit were examined. There are four separate letters; pp. 11–16 are later copies of them, not new letters. Original on pp. 4–5, copy on p. 12. Although it has the same date as the preceding letter, this one names a different place: Uchanie. The source date lines have been retained without attempting to reconcile the itinerary. This is a conditional promise to make a contract, not evidence that a lease was concluded. The chancery note on p. 5 could not be read in full.
