Translation / modern text
The sender replies to the recipient’s correspondence, mentioning the route from Toruń to Malbork and the distance or difficulties of the journey. He asks for a reciprocal message. The rest is not legible enough to recover the exact matter. The dateline gives 2 February 1703 and a place written “Helberga”, whose identification remains uncertain.

Reading notes
P. 9 dates the letter 2 February 1703; p. 10 continues the text and p. 11 contains its ending. P. 12 is the folded address card, not a separate letter. The first three inventory records were not changed. The address identifies the recipient by the title Palatin and General de Russie; the name is illegible.
