I, Krzysztof Franc, declare that I have received forty thalers from Mr Alexander Huison under a bill issued by Mr Mikołaj Mitalewicz [?]. I discharge Mr Huison for receipt of this sum.

Reading notes
A separate Polish receipt, not an English letter by Huison. Forty thalers is written out in words. The bill issuer’s surname is uncertain; Franc is read in the opening line, while the signature is less clear. It has not been established which letter originally enclosed the receipt. The reverse on page 25 has no substantive text.
