Translation / modern text
The sender asks the president of Lviv to intervene in a matter concerning a place described as a “plot,” and mentions a commandant and the Carmelite fathers. The precise nature of the matter cannot be established from the surviving reading, so it is not characterized as a property, lease, or legal dispute. The letter ends with a date read as 10 August 1753; the place and signature are illegible.

Reading notes
The inventory card on p. 1 gives the general unit date range as 10 September 1753 to 12 May 1764, but it was not used to date this letter. The date 10 August 1753 comes from the entry on p. 3 and needs checking because it precedes the range start on the card. Parts of pp. 2–3 are poorly legible; the matter is described only through the visible references to a plot, a commandant, and the Carmelites.
