Magnificent Chamberlain of Chernihiv,
my Gracious Lord and Friend!
22.
What the will and intention of His Royal Majesty are regarding the demarcation of his state from the Muscovite State, can be sufficiently understood from that schedule, which, copied from his letter, was sent by His Grace Mr. Hewen [...]. I am also sending a file of letters, from which you will be able to obtain the necessary information on this same matter. May the Lord God therefore bless Your Grace, my Gracious Lord, may He give counsel and provide means, so that you may wish to accept this Christian duty [...] and perform it for the dignity of His Royal Majesty and for your own significant fame and benefit. I therefore commit myself with my services most diligently to the grace of Your Grace, my Gracious Lord. In Kamieniec, on the 3rd of October, 1634.

Reading notes
The lower part of the page is heavily worn and faded, the hetman's signature is partially preserved (the title of Castellan of Kraków is visible: Cast. Cr.). In the upper left corner, there is an old chancery/archival annotation: 'paz: 1634'. The letter concerns the appointment of the recipient (Chamberlain of Chernihiv) to the border commission demarcating the border with the Muscovite State after the Treaty of Polanów (1634).
