Translation / modern text
A partly legible letter from Paris about military news and rumours concerning peace between France and Savoy. In the postscript the writer describes the composition of the Duke of Savoy’s guard, though the number of soldiers is uncertain. The dateline gives 10 September, but the year cannot be read with confidence. The signature is tentatively read as Jean Zamorski; the address sheet is directed to Sablonowski, Voivode of Volhynia in Lviv.

Reading notes
The letter begins on p. 25 with a new salutation, “Monseigneur”, and dateline, so it is treated as distinct from the letter on pp. 21–24. Page 31 contains a postscript. Page 32 is an address sheet; its association with the letter is based on sequence and matching recipient, but it remains a separate item. The uncertain year has not been supplied.
